Krishna Leela- Maakan Chor

Surdas has described the 'bal leela of krishna' as a means of attaining 'moksha'. The Life of Krishna or Bal Krishna and his activities have indepth spiritual meaning. For example., take the episode of 'Maakan Chor'. We all know that to steal a object which belongs to another person is a sin. Here we see the Lord doing it casually, almost effortlessly and completely at ease. How is it possible to steal something so easily and being comfortable doing it. But the  Lord is doing it as if it was his only goal and he takes pride in doing it and he also involves his followers (friends like sudama etc.,) in it. He is comfortable doing it. Because he has been doing it from the beginning. don't be shocked. He is stealing the butter (maakan) from the devotees since the beginning of time. Here we have to understand what is the butter that he stole.

Lets start understanding how the butter is made. First the pure milk from the Cow is made into Curd (by mixing bacteria ) then it is made into buttermilk by adding water and then after churning the buttermilk you get the butter.

Now to understand the spiritual meaning of butter. Let go step my step. The pure milk from the Cow is nothing but our pure innocence from the Divine. (Cow=Holy Mother, Paramachaithanya). When Pure innocence comes in contact with worldly pleasures (bacteria) we get Curd (the human mind) . We have to mix the element of Water (Krishna awareness) into it and Churn it ( meditate on the Lord ) and behold we get the butter (Moksha, Self Realisation). As soon as we reach that stage, the Lord will gladly steal it and consume it  . Here emphasis is given on stealing. He takes it without you ever realising it. He gives you moksha before you realise he has given you that. What am I saying I am talking about stealing here I am saying the Lord gives. The activity of stealing is really not taking way anything  but giving moksha.
